This Privacy Policy relates to our use of any personal information we collect about children in the school. We collect this information from parents or guardians.
Please let us know if your child’s personal information changes as it is important that Alexander’s School of Dance is committed to protecting personal information. 

 

The information we collect

We will collect basic personal details such as your child’s name, address, date of birth, medical information, parents’ names, addresses, e-mail address and telephone number, emergency contacts, fee amounts, and dates paid. We may take your child’s photograph, which could be used on the Alexander’s School of Dance website, programmes, advertising media such as flyers and posters. We may also ask for biographies for programmes.

 

How we use information

We will use your child’s personal information and your personal information:

• to send details of our classes, fees and forthcoming events.

• to support your child’s health and well-being whilst taking part in lessons, rehearsals and performances.

• to comply with any legal requirements regarding participation in performances e.g. Licenses to perform.

• to enter students for examinations.

• to compile entries in our show programme.

 

Security

We put in place reasonable security measures to protect against any unauthorised access or damage to, or disclosure or loss of, your child’s personal information or your personal information. We will ensure the information we hold about you is accurate and up to date. If you leave the school we will remove your child’s personal information and yours from our files. You have the right to request a copy of all the personal information we hold about you and your child in a Subject Access Request. To do this, please email us at the email address below. We will take all reasonable steps to confirm your identity before providing you with details of any personal information we may hold about you.

 

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may amend this Privacy Policy from time to time; for example, to keep it up to date or to comply with legal requirements. If there will be any significant changes made to the use of your personal information in a manner different from that stated, we will seek your permission first.
